A public park is positioned just off the Main Street and this park was created by Sir Arthur Rawdon MP (1662 – 1695) and was initially laid out with trees and exotic plants from Jamaica, making it one of the foremost botanic gardens back in 17^th Century Europe. This is a lovely place to walk and relax and there is a modern children’s play area.
